The relatives of young people lost after a devastating blaze at a bar in a Swiss ski resort are confronting an agonising wait for confirmed information and requesting information about their family members via social media.

The inferno devastated the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of New Year's Day. Circulated images reveal the ceiling igniting as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Authorities have indicated that it could take considerable time to identify the victims of the fire, which killed numerous partygoers and wounded another 119. Officials noted on the latest update that the majority of the injured have been accounted for, with the process continuing to locate the final individuals.

In the waiting period, relatives have been taking to social media to plead for clues about their loved ones who were at the bar that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The location of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are still unconfirmed, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.

The resident of a town near the city, informed a publication that she had gone back to the city to see if he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the equivalent search in the capital, but was unsuccessful.

One of his teachers commented, "I remember his good nature and smile, combined with great responsibility. Every time offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also present on that night, according to media.

Her brother has shared an appeal online, saying the family has had "no updates" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.
